Your privacy
The short version: we don't want your data. Wondly has no accounts and no logins, and we don't ask for your name or email to use it. Here's exactly what happens when you use the site.
No accounts, no personal details.
You don't sign in, and we don't collect personal information to let you search. There's nothing to leak, because we don't hold it.
What your searches do.
When you type a search, the text is sent to our search provider (Anthropic's Claude) to work out what you're asking for. It's used only to answer that one search and not to identify you. Please don't type personal or sensitive details into the search box — it's for finding places, not for anything about you or your child.
Nothing about your child.
When you choose an age, that's a filter on the activity — "good for 1–3s" — not a profile of a real child. We never build or store one.
Counting visits.
We use Plausible to see how many people visit and which pages are useful. It's privacy-friendly and cookieless — no tracking cookie, no consent banner, and it can't identify you.
Finding places near you.
If you use a "near me" feature, your location is worked out in your browser only, to sort places by distance. It's never sent to us, stored, or logged. Say no and we'll just centre the map on Chichester.
The map.
Our maps are served by OpenFreeMap. Opening a map fetches the map tiles from them.
Suggesting a place.
If you suggest a place, we only take the details about the place. The form doesn't ask for your name or email.
Where it all runs.
The site and its data run on servers in the EU (Ireland), with a data-processing agreement in place. The companies that help us run Wondly: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Anthropic (making sense of searches), Plausible (cookieless analytics), OpenFreeMap (map tiles).
